Assess
Once your vehicle is in our shop we immediately assess the dent and the damage in order to come up with the best repair plan for your vehicle.
Things we look at:
- Position of the dent
- Size of the dent
- Access to the dent – how will our technicians get to it; do we need to remove panels or lights etc.? In many cases, dent repair may mean the careful removal of vehicle parts like body panels, tail lights, interior panels, etc. Any parts removal is done very carefully and all parts are returned to factory specifications.
After assessing the damage and determining if the dent can be effectively removed using PDR, we move on to preparing the area around the dent for the repair.
Repair
Depending on your particular dent or ding, we will either repair the damage using traditional dent repair methods, where we fill, sand and paint the area to restore it to its original state, or we will employ Paintless Dent Repair to undo the damage.
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)
At Coache Collision we offer paintless dent repair wherever possible. A little-known fact, though, is that 80-90 percent of all dents and dings can actually be repaired using PDR! Using a combination of precision, expertise, top level technology and training, our certified technicians can restore your vehicle to factory-condition with minimal manipulation of your metalwork.
Also sometimes called paintless dent removal, or PDR, paintless dent repair is a repair technique designed to remove dents in the bodywork of your vehicle without using filler or paint. This technique is ideal for small and shallow dents, dings, door marks, body creases and hail damage.
Why do we choose to use PDR wherever possible?
- It preserves the integrity of a vehicle’s original factory finish;
- It is a fast and effective way to remove dents and dings; much faster than the traditional method of filling, sanding, and painting;
- It is an environmentally-friendly repair method; no chemicals or paints are used in the process; and

Although PDR times can vary based on severity of damage, as well as size, positioning and quantity of dents, many paintless dent repair jobs can be completed the same day you send your vehicle in.
